Task description: 
  • Supporting and technical advisory to public and private institutions to offer advisory and business services, in particular trainings related to trade information, advocacy and transparency.

  • Assisting public and private business service providers with their organisational development geared towards strengthening their flow of information in a transparent and efficient way.

  • Advising on integrating tech-enabled approaches (e.g. ICTs for advocacy campaigns and information management systems).

  • Organizing workshops and events (trainings, coaching, dialogue fora, B2Bs, trade show participation, technical exposure visits).

  • Developing and updating related training materials and advocacy materials including brochures or social media posts. Branding and campaign activities.

  • Supporting partners in quality checks of data banks or statistics and enhance their data systems, if required.

  • Conducting knowledge management.

  • Coordinating the engagement with the private sector as interface to the GIZ implemented work packages to policy / enabling environment. Ensure collaboration with GIZ teams working on result areas 1 and 2.

  • Coordinating with other GIZ and development partners’ activities on information and advocacy, such as the GIZ regional and bilateral SME projects with a team in Phnom Penh.

  • Supporting the team leader and the national long-term experts in M&E and quality assurance. Collaboration on reporting and drafting of reports and presentations.

Qualifications: 
  • Master’s degree in business administration, management, economics, econometrics, IT, social sciences, political sciences or international affairs or another relevant area of study.

  • Professional proficiency in English and Khmer (Level C according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for Languages).

  • 7 years of professional experience in Private Sector Development or Governance.

  • 4 years working on advocacy at various levels, including experience with process reengineering, information management, data and statistics or anti-corruption and transparency.

  • 5 years of professional experience in Cambodia.

  • 2 years of experience in Development Cooperation projects.
