Brazil: 5th and Final Podcast Episode on Youth and Gender in the Bioeconomy & Circular Economy

The “Professionals of the Future: Skills for the Green Economy” project in Brazil, supported by GOPA Worldwide Consultants, launched the 5th and final episode of the "Professionals for the Future" Bioeconomy and Circular Economy podcast series.

In this episode, climate activists PAULO GALVÃO and Jahzara Ona discuss the importance of a gender perspective on the Bioeconomy and Circular Economy and share ideas on how to engage more young people in the professions of this sector.

Meet the Guests:   

PAULO GALVÃO is an Amazonian Indigenous & International Relations student. He coordinates the Climate Change Group at Engajamundo, Brazil's largest youth organization, with extensive experience in advocacy & climate activism at national & international events. 

Jahzara Ona is an Environmental Technician from ETEC Getúlio Vargas and a student of Geosciences and Environmental Education at USP. With research focused on climate & environmental racism, she has participated in events such as SBs, COY17, COP27, LCOYs, and COP28, bringing crucial issues like climate finance to the forefront.

This project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany. 

Since 2022, GOPA Worldwide Consultants, with support from GOPA Infra, has been providing support to GIZ in implementing the Bioeconomy and Circular Economy component of the Professionals of the Future project.
