Nigeria: Equipping women and youth-led businesses with essential digital skills

A pilot Digital Skills for Entrepreneurs (DSE) training, aimed at equipping 240 businesses led by women and youth across Abuja, Lagos, Rivers, and Kano with essential digital skills, launched recently in Nigeria.

This initiative supported by GIZ Nigeria and ECOWAS and implemented by our GOPA Worldwide Consultants’ project team, focuses on delivering tailored training in digital marketing, e-commerce, data analytics, and cybersecurity, empowering participants to drive business growth and innovation in Nigeria’s digital economy.

With practical, hands-on sessions, the DSE training is designed to build a resilient foundation for participants, enabling them to leverage digital tools for sustainable business development

The programme is piloted through training/mentoring organisations for the widely recognised, contextualised and validated DSE course material. The pilot runs for 11 weeks with a series of physical classes, online sessions, coaching and mentoring sessions.
