World Health Day 2024 on 7 April

We stand alongside the World Health Organization (WHO) on World Health Day 2024 in advocating for the fundamental principle: 'My health, my right'. We believe that everyone, everywhere deserves access to quality health services, education, and information.

Our expert project teams are committed to supporting the development of policies, programmes, and infrastructure that enhance access to quality healthcare in developing and transition countries. From capacity building to monitoring and evaluation, we work across various technical areas to strengthen healthcare systems worldwide.

Recently, our experts implemented a project in Kyrgyzstan as part of the GIZ Programme “Promotion of primary healthcare in Kyrgyzstan”. By improving health insurance coverage for pregnant women and extending the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (MHIF) database to primary healthcare facilities, we ensured prompt registration and service provision for expectant mothers. Over 20,000 pregnant women were registered by the primary health care staff in the MHIF database nationwide in 2023.

This initiative was supported by the implementation of quality improvement plans and a referral system for high-risk pregnancies, ensuring comprehensive care for all mothers-to-be.
